Kris Horton prizes the phenomenal partnerships she has developed with local food growers and producers, believing that products that are carefully created on a small scale benefit the whole Portland community.    It is no surprise that Portland Maine has more restaurants per capita than any other US city except San Francisco.  Surrounded by so much local bounty from the New England farmland and the Atlantic Ocean, restaurants and food purveyors daily serve fabulous artisanal foods to locals and tourists alike.
