Native Specialties

We aim to carry a delightful selection of high quality cheeses made right here at home. It is an exciting era in cheese-making, and every year there are new and better cheeses from New England and across the country. They tend to be very season sensitive as a result; the weather keeps the animals indoors all winter. Field grazing is by far preferred to barn fed animals as it improves the taste of the milk.

  • California- goat milk cheeses
  • Wisconsin. Asiago
  • Iowa, Maytag and Amish blue
  • New Hampshire smoked cheddar, Swiss, provolone and mozzarella
  • Maine- cow and goat milk cheeses, soft and hard
  • Vermont- cow, sheep and goat milk cheeses of many types
  • Massachusetts- blue cheese
  • Colorado- cow and sheep milk soft cheeses
  • Connecticut, Mozzarella

Native Specialty cheeses from other states are seasonably available.
