Local Maine Cheese

The Maine Cheese Guild formed just a few years ago. There are now 47 production cheese-making farms here in the state. Most sell their cheeses at their local farm markets and stop production in the winter. A few are now able to keep us supplied throughout the year and the numbers are growing steadily.
