K. Horton Specialty Foods came into being in 1998, when the Portland Public Market first opened. At that time we focused on smoked seafood from my father’s smokehouse in Maine. We soon expanded to cheese and now offer a wide variety of specialty foods including olives, meat & seafood pates, dry salamis, gourmet condiments and much more. From Maine farmers we get goat cheese and other fine products. We offer many domestic selections as well as an assortment from the following countries: Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Scotland, Spain and Switzerland. We welcome you to our new location at the Market House at 28 Monument Square and ask you to take some time with me for a little cheese experience and a story or two…that you can pass on to your guests as you serve the best there is! I look forward to seeing you,
